Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald was questionable on the team's injury report heading into Sunday's matchup against the Detroit Lions. The decision on whether or not he would play came down to a coach's decision just before the game started.
Larry Fitzgerald plays Sunday, but leaves due to injury and has poor fantasy outing
Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald played on Sunday, but left the game due to injury. We break down the fantasy implications.

Most figured that he’d play though, because that’s just the kind of player Fitzgerald happens to be. Unfortunately, the aforementioned hamstring injury did hamper him, and he eventually had to leave due to the pain related to the injury in the fourth quarter. He finished the day with two receptions for 33 yards and no touchdowns, with five passes thrown his way.
According to the team's website, Fitzgerald said that he wasn't even 80 percent for the game. He also was adamant that he plans to play in Week 3 against the New Orleans Saints.
Fantasy Impact: Fitzgerald was a fantasy wildcard for Week 2, and if you happened to start him, it likely cost you. He had a bad game, and the extent of his injury is serious enough to have it listed as the reason he left Sunday’s game. The injury occurred in practice on Wednesday, so it’s still relatively fresh. He’s still a wildcard heading forward, though a better picture as to his Week 3 status will be had as the week progresses.
