Vernon Davis says he’ll be ready for Week 3; should be a must-start in fantasy
San Francisco 49ers tight end Vernon Davis says he’ll be ready to play by Week 3. We break down the fantasy implications.

Davis had three catches for 20 yards before sustaining a hamstring injury against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 2. He left the game and did not return, and this is the first update we've had regarding his health.
The 49ers lost that game against Seattle -- badly -- and Davis being healthy wouldn't have changed that. However, Davis remains one of quarterback Colin Kaepernick's top redzone targets and with the long-term injury to wide receiver Michael Crabtree, Davis getting back is crucial.
Fantasy Impact: Davis is one of the higher-drafted tight ends in fantasy football. He managed two touchdown receptions in Week 1, but Seattle’s tough secondary held all of Seattle’s receivers to mediocre stats in Week 2. If nothing comes out regarding a potential setback throughout this week, then he’s a must-start against the Colts in Week 3.
