Kansas City Chiefs tight end is officially doubtful for Thursday's Week 3 matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles, according to Adam Tiehcer of ESPN. Fasan's backup is Travis Kelce, a rookie, but he is dealing with a knee injury as well.
Anthony Fasano doubtful for Thursday, should be avoided in fantasy
Anthony Fasano is doubtful for the Kansas City Chiefs’ Week 3 matchup on Thursday. We break down the fantasy implications.

Kelce hasn’t looked very good in practice with said knee injury, while Fasano is dealing with an ankle injury. His injury is classified as a sprain, and the short week is definitely not helping his case to return. It’s unclear how much Kelce will play, as he’s been active thus far but rather limited due to his injuries.
Kevin Brock might be the starting tight end, which certainly doesn't inspire a lot of confidence.
Fantasy Impact: Fasano was considered a lower tier fantasy option at tight end, but also someone that could break out with Alex Smith at quarterback, given that he loves to throw to the tight end. At this point, it’s unclear when he’ll be back from injury and you should be exploring other options if you were planning on depending on him at all. It might be smart to find a permanent replacement at this point, as well.
