Chicago Bears wide receiver Brandon Marshall returned to team practice on Monday and is expected to be ready for the regular season opener against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Brandon Marshall expected to play Week 1, fantasy value stable
Brandon Marshall was absent from the team for four days with a hip issue, but he’s back in practice and ready to play on Sunday. We break down the fantasy implications.

Marshall was excused from the team for four days to get a checkup on his surgically repaired hip. He underwent surgery in the offseason and was a full participant in most of training camp and preseason, so his absence was only a minor concern. Head coach Marc Trestman approved his absence and planned for it in advance. There is no danger of him missing any regular season time.
Fantasy impact: Cool your jets, twitchy fantasy drafters--Marshall is just fine. He remains Jay Cutler’s favorite target and could be in line for even more action in Trestman’s pass-happy offense. Marshall is locked in as a top five fantasy receiver and is worth drafting in the middle of the second round. He’s in for another year of quality fantasy production.
