Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez (shoulder) did not practice on Monday and Santonio Holmes (foot) "did some work." Sanchez remains a question mark for Week 1 while Holmes "looked fine" and is preparing to play vs. the Buccaneers.
Mark Sanchez sits out, Santonio Holmes practices, but does it matter in fantasy?
Mark Sanchez sat out of practice on Monday with his shoulder injury. Santonio Holmes returned to practice and we break down the fantasy implications.

Holmes returned to practice on August 26 from his foot surgery and played in just four games in his third year in New York. He’s failed to top 52 receptions in any of those three seasons and hasn’t quite lived up to the five-year, $50 million deal with the team.
Sanchez injured his throwing shoulder in Week 3 of the preseason against the Giants and the prevailing thought around the team is that they're going to turn the page with their one-time franchise QB.
Fantasy impact: The Jets offense isn't a powerhouse in fantasy and Sanchez isn't even going to be drafted in even two-QB, 14-team leagues. Geno Smith is likely going to be named the starter and there's no reason to think about putting him on your radar unless he strings together multiple massive games. As for Holmes, he's nothing more than a low-upside flier at the end of 12-team drafts.
