Robert Griffin III (knee) named Week 1 starter, becomes fantasy starter against Eagles
Mike Shanahan was named the starter against the Eagles Monday afternoon. We break down the fantasy implications.

The writing has been on the wall for RG3 for a long time and Dr. James Andrews medically cleared him last week. He announced his completion of Operation Patience on Twitter, so this was really nothing more than a confirmation.
Fantasy impact: He took the fantasy world by storm in his rookie season and those that took a chance on him as their starting quarterback in drafts this summer would have been disappointed with any other news. The team is expected to use him less as a running weapon, so expecting him to duplicate his 815 rushing yards would be a bit lofty. Pierre Garcon figures to be his favorite weapon and he'll offer upside to become a WR1 and can be targeted near the WR15-20 range. Fred Davis is also a decent option as a low-end TE1. Those that took Kirk Cousins in most leagues can move on since Griffin is a must-start player against an Eagles defense that has looked horrible this preseason.
