After two monster performances to start the season, DeSean Jackson came back to reality in Week 3 against the Chiefs. He caught three passes for 62 yards on seven targets in Thursday night’s loss to Kansas City.
DeSean Jackson cools down in fantasy
Catching 100+ yards and a touchdown every week doesn’t appear to be sustainable, even for DeSean Jackson. We break down the fantasy implications.

Jackson finished tied in targets with Riley Cooper and one behind Jason Avant. Michael Vick was inconsistent throughout the night, which hurt Jackson’s numbers.
Fantasy impact: The torrid start to 2013 was bound to cool off just a bit. Jackson is still a viable WR1 as the only reliable threat in the Eagles passing game. Avant and Cooper aren’t threats to his value.
Vick likes to take shots downfield at Jackson, and with his speed, he’s bound to break away at some point. Expect better numbers against the Broncos in Week 4.
