New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski (back) is listed as questionable for this Sunday's game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Gronkowski's teammate Zach Sudfeld (hamstring) on the other hand fully participated in practice on Thursday and Friday, and would start should Gronkowski not be able to play in Week 3.
Rob Gronkowski injury update: unlikely to suit up for fantasy owners in Week 3
The Patriots’ top target in the passing game is questionable for the team’s Week 3 game against the Buccaneers. We discuss the fantasy implications.

Fantasy Impact: Patriots quarterback Tom Brady has had to go with receiver Julian Edelman as his number one guy in the absence of Gronkowski and Danny Amendola. With Wes Welker leaving the Patriots in favor of the Denver Broncos, Gronkowski will likely rack up numbers that are akin to that of the top end wide receiver, especially in fantasy leagues that reward receptions. Reports earlier in the week suggested that Gronkowski would have a 50-50 chance of playing in Week 3, so fantasy owners are advised to have a backup option ready in case Gronkowski is ruled out on Sunday morning. Sudfeld on the other hand, did not catch a pass in Week 1 against the Bills and did not play in Week 2 against the Jets. Needless to say, the Patriots and fantasy owners are itching to get Gronkowski in the lineup.
