New England Patriots wide receiver Danny Amendola (groin) has been limited in practice all week and is not expected to play against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 3. Amendola, who was acquired by the team in the off-season to fill the void left by the departure of Wes Welker has 10 catches for 104 yards in his one and only game this season.
Danny Amendola injury update: Doubtful status leaves fantasy owners considering alternatives
Patriots wide receiver Danny Amendola is expected to sit out the team’s Week 3 contest against the Bucs. We discuss the fantasy implications.

Fantasy impact: Although it was recently discovered that Amendola would not need surgery to repair a sports hernia after all, it looks like he will sit out again this week. That along with the fact Rob Gronkowski is also unlikely to play means that Julian Edelman will be in line for a high number of targets this week against the Bucs. Edleman was targeted 18 times by quarterback Tom Brady in the team's Week 2 win over the New York Jets and caught a career-high 13 passes for 78 yards in the game. Fantasy owners should have someone ready to go in place of Amendola for now.
