Fantasy football projections: Lions vs. Redskins features Matthew Stafford, Calvin Johnson, Robert Griffin III
We break down the fantasy projections for the Week 3 matchup between the Detroit Lions and Washington Redskins

Detroit Lions
Through two games, quarterback Matthew Stafford has only been sacked once and thrown just one interception. When you consider he's averaging 317.5 passing yards and two touchdown per game this season, you've got to love the prospects of Stafford putting up huge numbers in Week 3. The Redskins have given up the third most points to fantasy quarterbacks and they've been outscored 71-47 so far this year.
A big day for the Lions' passing game almost always means some big time output from wide receiver Calvin Johnson. Megatron was held to just 37 yards receiving by the Minnesota Vikings in Week 1 but managed to connect with Stafford for eight catches, 116 yards and two touchdowns against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 2.
Washington Redskins
It goes without saying it's been a rough start to the season for Robert Griffin and the Redskins. Though Griffin's return from a major knee injury has been well documented, many fans and players alike hoped the sophomore quarterback's fantastic rookie season would carry over into an Adrian Peterson-esque year. Those wishful thinkers would be left with much to be desired if not for the points he's put up in garbage time.
Without a doubt, Griffin will look to star receiver Pierre Garcon to keep the score close against a Lions pass defense that has allowed the third least fantasy points to quarterbacks this season. Garcon will be in tough in Week 3, but the good news is he appears to be healthy and his fantasy numbers reflect that. The sixth year pass catcher has 15 catches for 207 yards and a touchdown this season.
