Cleveland Browns wide receiver Josh Gordon exploded in the first half with four catches for 103 yards and a touchdown against the Minnesota Vikings, looking very much in sync with new quarterback Brian Hoyer. He has been targeted a whopping nine times.
Josh Gordon paying early dividends for fantasy owners
Josh Gordon has started his season off on the right foot. We break down the fantasy implications.

His TD was an easy 47-yard play down the sideline. The Browns have been running him on short routes in addition to his usual fly routes, which has allowed him to attack defenses in different ways. Gordon is the biggest and fastest receiver on the Browns roster, so he looks to be Hoyer’s go-to guy going forward.
Fantasy impact: If you drafted Gordon and put him in your lineup, go ahead and pat yourself on the back. All the preseason and offseason hype looks like it was warranted as he’s done a tremendous job creating separation this week.
The second-year receiver does have a good matchup, but there's no reason to think he's not capable of being a WR2 with some upside going forward. Jordan Cameron and Gordon look to be doing all the heavy lifting for Cleveland's receiving corps.
