Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson rushed for 88 yards and a touchdown Sunday against the Cleveland Browns. Peterson's yardage came on 25 carries as his team fell to the Browns, 31-27.
Adrian Peterson gives fantasy owners a touchdown
Peterson scored early in Sunday’s game. We break down the fantasy implications.

Peterson now has 281 rushing yards on the season to go with 52 receiving yards. He has four total touchdowns.
Fantasy impact: Peterson has had one of the most baffling fantasy seasons so far. 281 rushing yards, 52 receiving yards, and four touchdowns through three games smack of an elite receiver, to be sure. On the other hand, Peterson is getting virtually every carry for the Vikings, meaning his rush yardage has come on 69 carries, giving him an average of 4.07 yards per carry. Remove his season-opening 78-yard touchdown run, and Peterson has 203 yards on 68 carries, less than three yards a rush.
He is Adrian Peterson, so he’ll continue getting the touches in Minnesota, and will one way or another continue getting his yards. But it seems -- so far at least -- that Peterson lacks the explosiveness that let him nearly set the rushing record a season ago.
