Washington Redskins running back Alfred Morris ran for 73 yards on 15 carries Sunday. He got 30 of those yards on a second-quarter touchdown run that tied the game, which his team eventually lost 27-20 to the Detroit Lions.
Alfred Morris held to 73 yards, but notches score for fantasy owners
The second-year running back managed a score on a 30-yard run to account for most of his production. We break down the fantasy implications.

Morris got his second touchdown of the season, his first since the team's season-opening loss to the Philadelphia Eagles.
Fantasy impact: Morris, who went in the first round of most fantasy drafts, hasn’t quite lived up to that value as yet. He has 225 rushing yards on 40 carries so far this season, a yards-per-carry average of 5.6. With only one hundred-yard performance - and that one coming in the one game in which he didn’t score - Morris has been a good-not-great running back so far.
Part of the reason for Morris’ dip in production can be attributed to his team at large, as the Redskins have been playing from behind a lot, limiting the rushes available to Morris. But he is also having trouble finding separation for himself to get big yardage.
None of this is to say Morris is having a bad year - he isn't. But for him to recoup draft-day value, he'll need to up his production. With a game at the Oakland Raiders before the Redskins' Week 5 bye, there's a chance for Morris to have a big game in Week 4.
