Vincent Jackson undergoing tests for rib injury, fantasy owners await results
Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Vincent Jackson is undergoing tests on his injured ribs on Monday. We break down the fantasy implications.

According to the report, it’s too early to know (or guess as to) the severity of the injury. Jackson did leave the game late in the fourth quarter so the fact that he did not return could be considered a normal affair given the fact that the Buccaneers were out of the game at that point.
Jackson is the Buccaneers' leading receiver. He has 12 catches for 231 yards this season. That said, he wasn't necessarily having the greatest game, as Patriots cornerback Aqib Talib has blanketed him all game.
Fantasy Impact: Jackson is the top option for quarterback Josh Freeman. The quarterback struggles enough as it is. Losing Jackson would be a big deal but as already stated, it’s too early for anyone to specify whether or not the injury is serious. Jackson is a strong fantasy receiver and his injury could be ruinous for owners. That said, one shouldn’t panic just yet especially with decisions regarding Week 4.
