Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Miles Austin isn't practicing with the team on Wednesday, according to Calvin Watkins of ESPN Dallas. Austin missed the session because of a hamstring injury suffered in Week 3 against the St. Louis Rams.
Miles Austin missed Wednesday practice, fantasy status uncertain
Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Miles Austin missed practice on Wednesday. We break down the fantasy implications.

The injury is a concern given that Austin has a history of hamstring problems that have forced him to miss multiple practices and games over the seasons. That said, the Cowboys -- specifically head coach Jason Garrett -- claimed that Austin was only pulled from the Rams game as a precaution.
It would certainly make sense to play it safe with any hamstring injury, let alone one sustained by Austin. A clearer picture of where he stands will likely be had on Thursday and Friday, as many injured player miss Wednesday practices as a precaution.
Fantasy Impact: Austin is a very productive wide receiver, or he is usually. He’s had a slow start to the season, with 15 receptions for 125 yards over the first three weeks. He doesn’t have a touchdown, either. Austin has been pegged as a player who could break out at any time this season, but for now, he isn’t a top option.
That said, he should be started if he’s going to play and you have him on your fantasy team. The Friday injury report should give more information on whether or not he’s likely to play.
