New York Jets wide receiver Santonio Holmes told the New York Daily News he "still has a long way to go" before he's back to full health from a Lisfranc injury in his left foot.
Santonio Holmes warns he’s not at full strength yet; fantasy value low
Holmes insists his Lisfranc injury is not yet fully healed. We break down the fantasy implications.

Through three games this season, Holmes has caught nine of his 19 targets for 218 yards and a touchdown. He gained 154 of those yards in Sunday’s game against Buffalo.
Fantasy impact: It’s odd timing for Holmes to say this. It smacks of faux-humbleness - “I was so good last week and hobbled! Imagine what I’ll do later!” - that could be classified as Holmes playing possum. On the other hand, Lisfranc injuries often linger, so the idea of it continuing to bother him is not altogether far-fetched.
Either way, Holmes' fantasy value has to be considered fairly low, despite his career-high in yardage Sunday. His rookie quarterback, Geno Smith, has led the Jets to a 2-1 start, sure, but he's averaging less than 270 passing yards a game and has thrown three touchdowns to six interceptions. The team's next five games are against Tennessee, Atlanta, Pittsburgh, New England, and Cincinnati, which is not an easy road. Healthy or not, Holmes' value won't be particularly high.
