Fantasy Football start/sit advice, TNF: Anquan Boldin
The San Francisco offense has struggled to get healthy this season. Does that mean Boldin will score highly as the only guy, or get shut down by a defense that knows he is the No. 1?

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Anquan Boldin has been wildly unpredictable through three games this season. He enters Thursday's game at the St. Louis Rams with 19 receptions on 29 targets for 282 yards and a touchdown.
That's a nice total, but 208 of Bolding 282 total yards (and Boldin's lone touchdown on the season) came in the team's Week 1 win over the Green Bay Packers. Since then, Boldin was absolutely shut down in Week 2, with one reception for seven yards, and was mediocre at best in Week 3, with five receptions for 67 yards.
Fantasy impact: With guys like Mario Manningham and Michael Crabtree out injured, newcomer Quinton Patton unproductive so far and Vernon Davis questionable still with a hamstring injury, Boldin is the obvious target for quarterback Colin Kaepernick going forward.
The Rams undoubtedly know that and will look to shut Boldin down. Regardless, this is a 49ers team that wants to get back on track after a disappointing 1-2 start to the season. If the Niners expect to win Thursday, Boldin will need to be a big part of the offense. He was ranked 19th among wide receivers in standard leagues in our weekly wide receivers rankings this week; that seems reasonable. Boldin is a low-end WR2 or a high-end WR3 or flex this week, so he will likely start in the majority of leagues.
