Through three games this season, the top three receivers for the St. Louis Rams have done little to separate themselves from one another. Tavon Austin, Chris Givens and Austin Pettis have each shown up to varying degrees.
Fantasy football start/sit advice, TNF: Austin Pettis, Chris Givens, Tavon Austin
The St. Louis Rams receiving corps has been a three-headed beast so far, but who should fantasy players use in Week 4?

Givens leads the wide receivers in yardage, with nine receptions for 186 yards through three games, but he’s the only one of the three who hasn’t scored (and the only one not named “Austin” in some form, but that’s less helpful analysis). Austin has 18 receptions for 118 yards and two touchdowns, while Pettis has 13 receptions for 114 yards and two scores as well.
Fantasy impact: Separate from the fact that he hasn't scored is the fact that Givens is a big-play-type receiver who is averaging far more yards per catch than the other two members of the three-receiver corps. The 49ers have not allowed much in the way of big plays so far this year, which would seem to keep Givens' value low for Thursday's game.
Austin and Pettis, meanwhile, have been remarkable similar through three games, with the main difference being that both of Austin’s scores came in Week 2, while Pettis split his among the team’s second and third games. Our wide receiver rankings have Austin 30th in standard leagues, Givens 39th and Pettis unranked. Personally, I’d keep Austin about where he is, move Pettis into the mid-30s and I don’t think Givens would be ranked at all this week.
Regardless, Givens probably shouldn’t do in this week’s game. Pettis is an option in deeper leagues, but Austin is probably the Rams receiver fantasy owners want to go with in Week 4.
