The journey of a thousand miles begins with the first steps, and maybe David Wilson is prepared to make those steps. The New York Giants running back finished the Giants Week 4 loss with 55 rushing yards on 13 carries, and two receptions for eight yards.
David Wilson scuffles along with another weak fantasy performance
David Wilson rushed for 55 yards, but at least he did not fumble the ball. We break down the fantasy implications.

It was not a spectacular performance, but given his recent performances, it was a step in the right direction. More importantly, he held on to the ball on his 17 touches.
Fantasy impact: Wilson is showing improvement, but most of the rest of the roster (aside from Victor Cruz) is not. The Giants have lost their last two games by a combined score of 69-7. It is hard for a running back to get going when his team is constantly battling from a deficit. The Giants did keep this game close into the fourth quarter, but they could just get nothing going.
Week 5 will see the Giants host the sieve that is the Philadelphia Eagles defense. The Giants have a chance to climb into the NFC East race, while also getting their offense going. Wilson remains no better than a flex play for now, but another improved performance could move him into spot duty as an RB 2.
