Green Bay Packers running back Eddie Lacy is listed as the starter on the official depth chart, according to Rob Demovsky of ESPN. Lacy, a rookie, was a second-round draft pick this season, and was always expected to have a significant role this season.
Eddie Lacy named Packers starter, could be solid fantasy option after Week 1
Green Bay Packers running back Eddie Lacy has been named the starter. We break down the fantasy implications.

However, the Packers were intent on making Lacy work for carries against DuJuan Harris. Unfortunately for Harris, he is still dealing with injuries and won't be able to play any time soon. So Lacy is the starting back, beating out fellow rookie Johnathan Franklin and James Starks.
Lacy will likely share carries here and there, but he should be considered the workhorse of Green Bay’s offense. Green Bay is obviously a pass-first team, but they have lacked a running game for some time. Lacy provides a new wrinkle and should be productive.
Fantasy Impact: Unfortunately for Lacy, his first regular season game is against the San Francisco 49ers, who boast one of the strongest rushing defenses in the NFL. Lacy isn't a smart play for Week 1 by any means, but it might be a chance for you to pick him up on the cheap. Lacy will probably be a pretty productive fantasy back when it's all said and done.
