New York Jets wide receiver Santonio Holmes was held out of practice Thursday, according to ESPN's Josina Anderson. The Jets are limiting his snaps as he makes his way back from Lisfranc surgery.
Santonio Holmes held out of practice Thursday, a poor fantasy play in Week 1
Santonio Holmes missed practice on Thursday and still isn’t a sure thing to play on Sunday. We break down the fantasy implications.

Holmes missed training and preseason with the injury and says that he's not sure if he will suit up for Sunday's opener against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He practiced on a limited basis Wednesday and the Jets listed him as a starter on the depth chart, expecting him to suit up for Week 1.
Fantasy impact: Holmes and the Jets keep saying two different things, so we might not know his playing status until the inactive reports come out on Sunday. At any rate, the Jets passing game is going to struggle this year with Geno Smith under center, so it's hard to trust Holmes or any other New York receivers in fantasy. He's barely worth a roster stash in 10 and 12 team leagues.
