Cardinals tight end Rob Housler not seen practicing Thursday, status for Sunday vs. Rams remains in doubt
The deep-sleeper tight end in fantasy leagues has yet to take the practice field with the Cardinals this week. We break down the fantasy implicaitons.

Housler is currently dealing with a high-ankle sprain, and has not practiced with the team all week. As a result, his status for Sunday’s game versus the Rams remains uncertain. If he is also held out of practice on Friday, then his chances of playing dwindle even further.
Fantasy Spin: If anyone is banking on Housler being a starting TE1 option for Week 1, then it’s a toxic lineup situation. Housler has had a quiet summer, and although upside remains with the deep-sleeper, he isn’t poised to give his owners any kind of immediate value. Several tight ends up and down the waiver wire, or in the late-rounds of drafts are suitable enough replacements for the few owners who were set on relying on Housler this week. Otherwise in the offense, boosts in production can be expected from Michael Floyd and Andre Roberts in the short-term, and tight ends Jim Dray and Kory Sperry are not worth roster spots.
