Victor Cruz practices with Giants at a limited basis Thursday
The Giants’ leading receiver from 2012 practiced once again this week and continues to be on the mend from a heel injury sustained earlier in the preseason. We break down the fantasy implications.

Cruz has been dealing with a heel injury that was sustained in game two of the preseason, versus the Indianapolis Colts. At one point Cruz was sporting a walking boot and crutches, but the injury was never deemed a long-term threat to his health and the Giants leading receiver of 2012 continues to show signs of being on the mend.
Fantasy Spin: The Giants limiting Cruz in practice is nothing more than a precautionary measure, and the team's slot receiver should once again take the field and be productive early on. He faces a Cowboys team that will be without Jay Ratliff and likely without Anthony Spencer, which ought to give quarterback Eli Manning plenty of time to find his favorite target this week. Cruz is a weekly threat to crack the top-10 in points among wide receivers as long as he's on the field, and that's looking to be the case again on Sunday night.
