Cardinals’ Rashard Mendenhall limited in Thursday’s practice
The Cardinals starting running back was limited in practice on Thursday, but appears to be on track to start Week One. We break down the fantasy implications.

This news, from Darren Urban of AZCardinals.com, comes on the heels of Mendenhall being held out of practice earlier in the week due to a minor knee sprain. The limitations in practice appear to be solely precautionary, as Head Coach Bruce Arians proclaimed Monday that his veteran running back is “more than ready” for Week One.
Fantasy Spin: It's encouraging that Mendenhall is getting his head coach's vote of confidence, but fantasy owners would be advised against following in Arians' footsteps this week. With a porous offensive line blocking for a recently-hurt running back against a sturdy Rams front seven, owners would be advised to go with a better option at their RB2 or flex positions this week. This wouldn't necessarily be a terrible play if many other teams were on a bye week, but for Week One, other options ought to be available.
