Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Jacoby Jones suffered a sprained knee in Thursday night's opener against the Denver Broncos and will undergo an MRI on Friday. Jones suffered the injury during a punt return in the second quarter, when rookie Brynden Tarwick collided with him while he was signaling for a fair catch.
Jacoby Jones to undergo MRI on knee, fantasy value on the rocks
Jacoby Jones left Thursday’s game with a fluke injury to his knee and will undergo an MRI on Friday. We break down the fantasy implications.

When asked how long he will be out, Jones told the Baltimore Sun “I don’t know, I’ve got to find out.” Rookie Marlon Brown started the rest of the game at wideout in Jones’ place.
Fantasy impact: Jones’ main contribution comes on special teams, so he wasn’t of much use to fantasy owners even before the injury. He can be safely dropped in standard leagues regardless of the extent of his knee injury. The Ravens are increasingly thin at the receiver position now, making Brown an intriguing waiver claim in deeper leagues. Brown had four catches for 65 yards and a touchdown in his NFL debut.
