New York Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz is listed as "probable" for Sunday's season opener against the Dallas Cowboys, according to Ralph Vacchiano of the New York Daily News. Cruz injured his foot in the team's second preseason game and didn't return to practice until recently.
Victor Cruz listed as ‘probable’, should be a must-start for fantasy owners
New York Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz is listed as “probable” on the team’s Friday injury report. He should be a must-start for fantasy owners.

That said, Cruz has been going full speed in practice and has had more than enough time to ensure he's ready from that standpoint. If he's suffered no setbacks to his heel, then it seems likely that he'll be lining up to catch passes from Eli Manning on Sept. 8.
Cruz is a big part of New York’s offense, and while they have other playmakers to step up in his place, they didn’t give him a big contract this offseason for nothing. He makes the team better.
Fantasy Impact: Cruz isn't the top receiving option in fantasy, and is probably below Hakeem Nicks in that regard, as well. That said, he's still one of the top 15-or-so receivers and this is great news for fantasy owners. He's practiced full speed all week and now he's listed as probable. Smart money is on him starting, and if he's on your fantasy team, you should keep him far, far away from the bench.
