Rashard Mendenhall injury update: ‘Probable’ status makes him something to watch in fantasy
Rashard Mendenhall is going to play against the Rams. We break down the fantasy implications.

The Cardinals are just being careful with their new back and he still hasn't quite been right since his ACL tear back in January 2012. Mendenhall will be getting most of the running back work and he's been lining up all over the field for Bruce Arians' offense. He had just 51 carries last season for the Steelers and was a shell of himself in his sixth NFL season.
Fantasy impact: The Cardinals were not a powerhouse on offense last year with their 32nd-ranked rushing attack, coming in last in rushing yards and yards-per-carry average. Bruce Arians' offensive scheme gets a lot of press for its passing, but the Cardinals will have to develop a run game to keep defenses honest. Mendy should see all sorts of looks in the passing game, as well, but there's talk of Stepfan Taylor getting some goal-line work. Mendenhall serves as a flex this week against the Rams while Taylor is a decent pickup in deeper leagues for handcuff appeal.
