He was taken in the first round by the Bengals after a stellar year at Notre Dame. The Bengals do already have Jermaine Gresham at tight end, so the Bengals are likely to use two-TE sets much like the Patriots used last season. The rookie has looked "spectacular", according to the Cincinnati Enquirer, so he'll be in the mix off the bat.
Fantasy impact: It’s never easy to start rookies in fantasy football. Receivers and tight ends have to adjust to a learning curve and that should be no different for Eifert. The team is going use him in the slot and he should run a lot of routes. He’s more of a TE2 in fantasy leagues and his matchup against the Bears is not a favorable one.
