Forsett was brought on from Houston this offseason and was expected to be Maurice Jones-Drew's back. However, he's been outplayed by Jordan Todman in training camp. Forsett did have a sterling 5.9 yards per carry last season with the Texans, so this battle for the backup rushes is not over yet.
Fantasy impact: Considering Jones-Drew is coming off a serious foot injury, fantasy owners will want to monitor how the backup role shakes out. Forsett doesn't really project as a feature back since he's a little undersized, but he's an adept pass catcher that can help Blaine Gabbert as a security blanket. When push comes to shove, Todman figures to be a better player to own for his higher upside.
