Jaguars quarterback Blaine Gabbert (thumb) is questionable to face the Chiefs on Sunday. He was limited in practice all week after missing two preseason games with a jammed right thumb.
Blaine Gabbert injury update: Fantasy value remains low with questionable status
Blaine Gabbert’s thumb injury has limited him for most of training camp and he’s questionable for Sunday. We break down the fantasy implications.

While he was able to practice, the 2012 first-round pick took “most of the reps” with the first team. Gabbert looked solid in the preseason and he’s looking to improve from his disastrous rookie campaign. He lacked poise in the pocket in last year and he’ll have to work on that area to become even an average NFL starter.
Fantasy impact: The Jaguars should have their starting QB, but they’re not likely going to put the ball in his hands much. It should be the Maurice Jones-Drew Show in this week’s game, so fantasy owners aren’t going to want to risk Gabbert this week even in a friendly matchup. MJD and Cecil Shorts are the only Jags players worth starting in just about every fantasy league.
