Lions wide receiver Ryan Broyles will not suit-up for the team's season opener versus the Vikings on Sunday, according to Adam Caplan.
Ryan Broyles is inactive vs. Vikings, short-term fantasy value remains low
The Lions’ fantasy deep-sleeper will have to wait at least another week before making any significant contributions to fantasy lineups. We break down the fantasy implications.

The news comes as a bit of a letdown, as the talented possession receiver had a strong showing early in camp and appeared on fantasy radars as a deep sleeper amid a pass-heavy offense. But now, with knee issues flaring up after two different ACL surgeries over the past two seasons, Broyles’ contributions will have to wait.
Fantasy Spin: Expect a heavy dose of Calvin Johnson, Brandon Pettigrew and Nate Burleson once again this week, but also keep an eye out for undrafted free agent Patrick Edwards, who should see plenty of snaps. Broyles remains nothing more than a long-term bench stash in deep leagues, and should Edwards and Burleson assert themselves with strong performances, that could make Broyles ascent to the top of the depth chart all the more difficult.
