Adrian Peterson started off his season with a 78-yard TD run against the Lions on the Vikings' first play from scrimmage.
All Day: Adrian Peterson pleases fantasy owners with a 78-yard TD to start season
So taking Adrian Peterson with the first pick of fantasy drafts seems like a good idea.

He ran in the B gap on the right side of the line and no Lion had a chance to bring him down. Obviously, a 78.0 yards-per-carry average is a nice way to start his season. His next two carries in the following drive netted just -1 yards, so he’ll have to settle for a 25.7 YPC for now.
Update: He added a second touchdown with 12:17 left in the second quarter.
Fantasy impact: Not that a Peterson owner needed vindication for their pick, but it's gotta feel pretty good. He said he's going to try and clear 2,000 yards again, and from the early signs of the season, he has a good chance. Christian Ponder still can't throw the ball down the field, but the Minnesota O-line could be enough.
