Adrian Peterson is still ridiculous, unless anyone was worried it went away in the offseason. The Vikings running back ran for 93 yards and two touchdowns, and added 18 receiving yards and a receiving touchdown, as Minnesota fell to the Lions, 34-24, Sunday.
Adrian Peterson gives Vikings, fantasy owners 3 TDs
Fantasy’s No. 1 pick proved his worth Sunday, scoring three times and going over 100 yards. We break down the fantasy implications.

Peterson’s first touch of the day was a 78-yard touchdown run. He added a 4-yard scoring run in the second quarter, and capped off his scoring with a 4-yard reception in the third.
Fantasy impact: Without that 78-yard super-carry early in the game, Peterson would have rushed 17 times for 15 yards, so he wasn’t his dominant self all game long, but his owners likely aren’t complaining.
Peterson was the consensus No. 1 pick in fantasy entering the season, and three touchdowns and 111 all-purpose yards in the season opener certainly backed that up. Yeah, he’s still ridiculous.
