Vikings wide receiver Jerome Simpson had a big game Sunday, catching the ball seven times for 140 yards as the Vikings fell to the Lions, 34-24.
Jerome Simpson notches 140 yards for fantasy owners
Simpson was the Vikings’ leading receiver in the loss to Detroit. We break down the fantasy implications.

Simpson's longest reception went for 47 yards, and he led the team in targets, as his eight were one more than Greg Jennings' seven.
Fantasy impact: After only gaining 274 receiving yards all of last season, Simpson got more than halfway there in only one game Sunday. On a receiving corps that also features Jennings, Kyle Rudolph, Cordarrelle Patterson and the always-doing-things Adrian Peterson, the Vikings only really need a better quarterback.
Even with Christian Ponder doing the job, there's no reason to think this is a total fluke from Simpson. He won't get 140 every week, but he has crazy athleticism, and he should be at least a flex option most weeks.
