Dwayne Bowe had a quiet day Sunday, gaining only 30 yards on four receptions. He was targeted six times by new quarterback Alex Smith as the Chiefs beat the Jaguars, 28-2.
Dwayne Bowe quiet for fantasy owners, Chiefs
With his team leading early and turning to the run, Bowe didn’t get a lot of looks Sunday. We break down the fantasy implications.

Bowe was targeted as many times as any Chief, with the team taking an early lead against the hapless Jacksonville squad and turned to the run.
Fantasy impact: No Chiefs receiver had more than Bowe's four receptions or six targets, so it seems this was more a case of not throwing too often than of Bowe being left out. Smith's two touchdown passes went to Donnie Avery and Junior Hemingway -- two players unlikely to supplant Bowe as the team's best.
As the Chiefs play teams better than Jacksonville (not a hard task), they’ll have to throw the ball more, and Bowe will likely see more touches. Owners shouldn’t be worried.
