Maurice Jones-Drew was basically a nonfactor Sunday, rushing for only 45 yards. Jones-Drew gained what he did on 15 carries as the Jaguars fell to the Chiefs 28-2.
Maurice Jones-Drew quiet for fantasy owners Sunday
Jones-Drew gained only 45 total yards as Jacksonville scored only on a safety. We break down the fantasy implications.

Jones-Drew had no receptions on two targets, keeping his owners in the cold.
Fantasy impact: There was some sentiment that Jones-Drew, despite a rough and injury-dampened year last year, would bounce back in 2013. And while he might yet, this was not the start his proponents were looking for.
The Jaguars fell behind in a hurry Sunday, so the rushing game had to fall by the wayside a bit, which probably cost Jones-Drew somewhat. That said, Blaine Gabbert, with only 121 passing yards on 35 attempts, is rapidly proving his lack of qualifications as an NFL quarterback, so teams are likely to continue to focus on Jones-Drew. His owners pretty much have to keep running him out there, but hopes are no longer as high.
