Things appeared promising early on for Richardson, who opened the game with four carries for 26 yards. But afterward, the team abandoned the run despite the score being close throughout the game’s duration, and Richardson’s fantasy totals were doomed as a result. The Browns dialed up 59 passing plays to only 13 running plays.
Fantasy Spin: Rob Chudzinski and Norv Turner's game plan deserves a re-evaluation when during a close game, they keep the ball out of the hands of their offense's best player. The absurdly skewed ratio of pass-to-run plays will fall back toward Richardson's favor, and ought to let him get into enough of a rhythm to justify his RB1 entrenchment. Having the Ravens next on the schedule isn't encouraging, but Richardson is talented enough to make something out of the mathchup with proper opportunities.
