Miami Dolphins running back Knowshon Moreno (elbow) is still a few weeks away from returning to the playing field, according to Andrew Abramson of The Palm Beach Post. Moreno has missed the team's last two games with the injury.

The Dolphins running back has been out with an injury since Week 2. We break down the fantasy implications.

Fantasy Impact: Moreno was originally hoping to make his return to the lineup following Miami's Week 5 bye, but it now looks like he'll be targeting Week 8 as his return date instead. Teammate Lamar Miller has been solid in Moreno's absence and the Dolphins have announced the signing of LaMichael James to the practice squad as insurance.
One thing Moreno certainly has going for him is that he has a history of being an excellent pass catcher out of the backfield, so even though Miller is playing well, the tandem will probably co-exist on a timeshare basis whenever Moreno does return.
Fantasy owners can probably wait a few weeks before claiming Moreno on the waiver wire. Those who own him will have to hang tight for now if they can afford to do so.
