Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Cordarrelle Patterson has unique playmaking ability and showed tantalizing glimpses of his potential in 2013. Entering his second season, and with Norv Turner running the offense, Patterson was pegged as a breakout candidate in most fantasy circles.
Fantasy football start/sit advice, Week 6: Cordarrelle Patterson
Cordarrelle Patterson has been quiet since his big Week 1. Can fantasy owners trust him anymore?

That breakout has yet to happen. In five games, Patterson has just 284 total yards on 19 touches, adding 336 yards on kick returns. He hasn’t scored a touchdown in Week 1 and, other than that one score, hasn’t really had many electric plays. Turner said that he’s “anxious” to get Patterson more involved in the offense.
Fantasy impact: Patterson is still raw as a receiver, and although the Vikings haven't done the best job manufacturing touches for him, at some point he needs to start creating his own looks. Patterson still has upside with Teddy Bridgewater taking over at quarterback, but his recent hip injury won't help matters. The Vikings face the Detroit Lions, who are playing some of the best defense in the league. Fantasy owners should keep stashing Patterson, but this is not the week for him to break out of his slump.
