New England Patriots tight end Tim Wright seemingly came out of nowhere to burst onto the scene with a 5/85/1 line last week despite only playing 19 of the team's 84 snaps. Wright started the season on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers before being traded to New England along with a draft pick in exchange for guard Logan Mankins. When you take a look at his rookie production with Tampa Bay last year, his recent production makes a little more sense. While there was some inconsistency, Wright finished the year with 54 catches for 571 yards and five touchdowns.
Fantasy start/sit advice, Week 6: Tim Wright an intriguing TE2 play
Tim Wright forced his way into fantasy relevance last week. Can he keep it up in Week 6?

Fantasy Impact: Wright's fantasy ceiling is in the hands of the Patriots' coaching staff at this point. If they can find a way to get Wright more involved in the offense, then there is a lot to like here. Former tight end Aaron Hernandez made the backup position more than fantasy relevant for several years. He would have plenty of opportunities to put up some decent numbers in an increased role even with Rob Gronkowski in the mix. Owners in need of a tight end should grab Wright while they still can. For the time being, he's a boom or bust TE2.
