Fantasy football projections, Week 7: 49ers-Broncos featuring Colin Kaepernick, Peyton Manning and Julius Thomas
We break down the Week 7 matchup between the San Francisco 49ers and the Denver Broncos.

San Francisco 49ers
The 49ers staged an impressive come-from-behind win against the St. Louis Rams on Monday Night Football in Week 6. Quarterback Colin Kaepernick looked especially impressive in the second half, using both his arm and his legs to make an impact on the game. He finished 22-of-35 for 343 yards and three touchdowns to go with 37 rushing yards. He did an excellent job taking care of the ball, given that he didn't throw any interceptions and that Frank Gore and Carlos Hyde couldn't muster anything on the ground.
Kaepernick should be a solid fantasy starter in a potential shootout against the Broncos this week, and that means that wide receiver Anquan Boldin could be in for his second big game in a row. Boldin has gotten used to scorching the St. Louis Rams throughout his career and he did it again last week, catching seven passes for 94 yards and a touchdown. Although he's beyond his days of being a superstar every week, he's the biggest counter-punch the 49ers have to the Broncos' Demaryius Thomas in a lot of ways. Boldin should be in fantasy lineups this Sunday.
Denver Broncos
The fact that Manning is one of the best NFL quarterbacks of all time isn't exactly a news flash these days. Manning has thrown at least three touchdown passes in every game except one this season. He struggled somewhat in the first half of last week's game against the New York Jets but still managed to throw for 237 yards and three scores without tossing an interception. Manning should be in for another three-touchdown performance against the 49ers, even though San Francisco is clearly superior to the Jets. In fact, some healthy competition is probably a good thing for Manning this week, so that he can get back over the 300-yard passing mark for his fantasy owners again.
These days there's only one pass-catcher Manning seems to be looking for in the end zone and that's tight end Julius Thomas. With the New Orleans Saints' Jimmy Graham (shoulder) likely to miss time, Thomas is the hands-down No. 1 tight end in fantasy football over these next two weeks. He only caught four passes against the Jets, but two went for touchdowns. Orange Julius' consistency in fantasy leagues this season is probably only matched by Dallas Cowboys running back DeMarco Murray. Thomas has a staggering nine touchdowns in just five games this season, putting him on a pace that could see him get close to 30 when all is said and done. Needless to say, fantasy owners will be starting him on Sunday.
