The Minnesota Vikings have been running some sort of rotation between Matt Asiata and Jerick McKinnon ever since losing Adrian Peterson. Asiata has been the nominal starter, but talented rookie McKinnon has always been a threat to steal his touches.
Fantasy football start/sit advice, Week 7: Jerick McKinnon
Jerick McKinnon finally took the reins from Matt Asiata. Will he keep up the starting job in Minnesota? We examine his fantasy matchup with the Buffalo Bills.

The changing of the guard may have taken place in Week 6. McKinnon got the start and handled almost all of the work in the backfield, playing 48 snaps to Asiata’s 15 and getting 17 touches, while Asiata had just three. McKinnon turned those touches into 82 total yards.
Fantasy impact: Head coach Mike Zimmer says that he wants to keep Asiata involved in the offense, but it's pretty obvious who the more talented running back is. McKinnon should be the starter going forward and carries RB2 value while Teddy Bridgewater continues to learn the ropes. He'll have a tough matchup against the Buffalo Bills, who are giving up a league-low 67.5 rushing yards per game. McKinnon's upside is capped at the flex level this week, while Asiata is only worth starting in the deepest of leagues due to his goal line work. Asiata can be dropped in 12-team leagues.
