Vernon Davis gets another week to shake off the rust after sitting out with a back injury. He's coming off a Week 6 performance against the St. Louis Rams with three catches for 30 yards and no scores. He was targeted six times. The San Francisco 49ers will need Davis to get it together against the Denver Broncos on Sunday night.
Fantasy football start/sit advice, Week 7: Vernon Davis
Vernon Davis has struggled to stay on the field, but he’s suiting up for a second consecutive week. We take a look at the fantasy implications.

Fantasy impact: There is plenty of discussion about Vernon Davis that suggests he’s an unquestioned TE1 against the Broncos on Sunday night. We’re really not sure why he’s being pushed into lineups so heavily. While his upside is certainly there and his injury is another week behind him, Davis hasn’t put up a respectable fantasy performance since the final week of the 2013 season. Fantasy owners absolutely should hang on to Davis as a bounce-back candidate, but he’s far from a TE1 lock. At best, Davis is a low-end TE1 that hasn’t seen more than four catches in a game all season.
