New York suffered a 31-21 defeat to the Dallas Cowboys in Week 7. While it wasn’t the outcome they were hoping for, the Giants at least managed to put points on the board, a feat they were unable to accomplish last week against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Giants fantasy recap: Eli Manning, Odell Beckham bounce back
The Giants didn’t win on Sunday, but they managed a better showing than their 0-point game in Week 6. We break down the fantasy implications.

Eli Manning bounced back with good box score numbers, but the offense still appears to be missing Rashad Jennings. Let’s break down the fantasy performances from Sunday.
Eli Manning: He completed 21 of 33 passes for 248 yards and three touchdowns against the Cowboys. The stat line appears a bit better than the game actually looked, but Manning did his best without much help from the run game. Manning might regress at times like we witnessed in Week 6. However, in most matchups he is a QB2 with QB1 upside if the offense is clicking. The Giants are off in Week 8 and the return with three tough matchups against the Colts, Seahawks and 49ers.
Andre Williams: His time as the No. 1 running back for the Giants has been somewhat disappointing. Williams rushed for 51 yards on 18 carries against the Cowboys. He hasn’t scored a touchdown in two games as a starter. With the Giants’ bye week coming up, we might see Jennings back as the starter in Week 9, leaving Williams’ value to take a major blow. When Jennings is back, Williams isn’t worth much more than a stash in deeper leagues.
Rueben Randle: Randle led the team with nine targets and managed to haul in six of those passes for 74 yards. He saw another target in the end zone, which should keep fantasy owners content even if he didn’t score. Randle is the No. 1 option with a great red zone presence. Manning will continue to rely on him, putting him on the WR2 radar going forward.
Odell Beckham Jr.: The rookie caught four passes for 34 yards and two touchdowns. Beckham is already benefiting from Victor Cruz’s absence, as he played most of the snaps on Sunday. Another reliable red zone target, Beckham should be viewed as a WR3 in favorable matchups. The rookie can play.
Larry Donnell: He’s still alive. Donnell caught one pass for 6 yards last week after being kept out of the box score in Week 5. He finished with seven receptions for 90 yards against the Cowboys. Donnell is a boom-or-bust tight end with the way he’s used. He might show more consistency with Cruz out for the year.
