Washington's quarterback situation is in flux once again. Kirk Cousins got benched for Colt McCoy in the team's win over the Tennessee Titans on Sunday, and on Monday head coach Jay Gruden said he plans on starting McCoy against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 8.
Washington planning to start Colt McCoy, won’t count out Robert Griffin III; fantasy situation a mess
Washington has given up on Kirk Cousins while RGIII inches closer to a return. We break down the fantasy implications.

Meanwhile, Robert Griffin III continues to make progress in his rehab from a dislocated ankle. He has been medically cleared and the team will see on Wednesday if he is able to practice. Griffin will not return until the team feels he is 100 percent, although they aren't ruling him out at this stage.
Fantasy impact: The Cousins experiment ends with nine interceptions in six games. McCoy got his first extended action since 2012, completing 11 of his 12 passes for 128 yards and a touchdown. The yardage is inflated by a 70-yard catch-and-run from Pierre Garcon, but it was ultimately enough to overcome the Titans. McCoy will be a bottom-barrel fantasy option in two-quarterback leagues if he starts next week.
It’s still unclear how Griffin will fare in Gruden’s offense, but he’s worth picking up again in standard leagues. Griffin will have no problem winning the starting job back once he’s healthy.
