Seattle Seahawks tight end Luke Willson returned to practice on Wednesday. Willson missed Week 7 with a groin injury, but is on track to be back in game action against the Carolina Panthers.
Luke Willson returns to practice Wednesday, fantasy value still low
The Seahawks are expected to get their tight end back for Week 8. We break down the fantasy implications.

Willson was named the starting tight end when Zach Miller underwent ankle surgery during the Week 4 bye. He hasn't done much to run away with the job, recording just six catches for 40 yards in five games before going down with the injury. The Seahawks turned to third-stringer Cooper Helfet in Week 7, and he responded with 61 yards and a touchdown on three catches against the St. Louis Rams.
Fantasy impact: Willson has appealing measurables at 6’5, 252 pounds with a 4.51 Combine 40 time, but he hasn’t always put it together on the field. With Helfet going off in last week’s loss, Willson isn’t a sure thing to get the starting job back. He’s only a Hail Mary TE2 play on his best weeks and isn’t worth owning in 12-team leagues.
