Yes, you're starting Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning, but what should you expect, and should you use him in a daily fantasy league? Let's investigate.
Fantasy football start/sit advice, Week 8: Peyton Manning
Peyton Manning is obviously in your fantasy lineup, but what should you expect from him this week?

He'll take on the San Diego Chargers at home on a short week. Usually some quarterbacks get rattled with the short week, but it hasn't been an issue for Peyton. He took on the Chargers last season at home on a Thursday and threw for 289 yards, two scores and one pick. That was actually one of his worst games in 2013, but he torched the Chargers in the other contest with four scores and a passer rating of 135.2. Additionally, he did have only one score against the Oakland Raiders in his previous Thursday night short-week game in 2012.
The Chargers this season have not had any opponent even close to the quality of the Broncos. They have been the 12th-toughest matchup for quarterbacks so far, but they were actually carved up by Raiders QB Derek Carr.
Fantasy impact: Manning probably isn’t going to completely tear it up, but he’s still a strong bet for three scores and more than 300 yards. His owners shouldn’t be expecting a monster day.
