Denver Broncos receiver Wes Welker hasn't been as great as usual, totaling just 176 receiving yards, 17 catches and one touchdown in four outings on the season. He has just one catch for more than 20 yards and clearly won't duplicate his 10-touchdown campaign from last season.
Fantasy football start/sit advice, Week 8: Wes Welker
Wes Welker has taken a back seat, but will he have a nice game on a short week for his patient fantasy owners?

The Broncos have two of the biggest playmakers in the passing game with receiver Demaryius Thomas and tight end Julius Thomas, so Welker has taken a bit of a back seat. What's more, receiver Emmanuel Sanders has come on strong in his first season with the team and running back Ronnie Hillman is an adept pass catcher.
Considering the body of work on the season, there is not much to like about Welker this week. The San Diego Chargers aren't too shabby on defense, so it's hard to imagine the fourth option in the passing attack will have a great game.
Fantasy impact: Fantasy owners shouldn’t be looking to Welker on a short week. He’s a WR3 with low upside in PPR and probably shouldn’t be in standard lineups.
