Detroit Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson practiced with the team on Thursday, according to Michael Rothstein of ESPN. Johnson is dealing with an ankle injury that forced him out of Detroit's last two games and limited him to a decoy role in the previous two.
Calvin Johnson practicing again; fantasy status still iffy
Calvin Johnson practiced with the team on Thursday. We break down the fantasy implications.

It was surprising that he even made the trip to London, as most figured he would be held out of the Week 8 game against the Atlanta Falcons. That's because the Lions also have a bye in Week 9, and Johnson has already suffered setbacks from doing too much. He caught just three passes in games against the New York Jets and Buffalo Bills, and he resented his role as a decoy.
Fantasy Impact: It’s still probably best for the Lions, who are 5-2, to rest Johnson to ensure his ankle is good to go for the second half of the season. He’s got just 348 receiving yards and two touchdowns on the year, which is way below fantasy owners’ expectations. Whatever the case, fantasy owners will have to get up early to see if Johnson is made active.
