The St. Louis Rams gave running back Tre Mason the start against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 7, hoping to find a spark in their running. Mason responded with 85 rushing yards and a touchdown on 18 carries. Zac Stacy began the season in the No. 1 role, but was an afterthought last week with just one snap and zero touches on the day.
Fantasy football start/sit advice, Week 8: Tre Mason
The talented rookie won the starting job in Week 7. Can he hold on to it against the Chiefs this week?

Mason should logically be the guy going forward, but head coach Jeff Fisher poured cold water on that theory Wednesday. Fisher said that the running back situation would be “a week-to-week thing” and that he wants to use all three backs, including Benny Cunningham. Fisher also suggested that Stacy “could get 25 carries this week.”
Fantasy impact: Fisher has been talking up a hot-hand approach in the backfield all year, so it's hard to predict who's going to get the most touches against the Kansas City Chiefs. Mason is clearly the more talented back and should be owned in all fantasy leagues, but owners might want to hold on starting him until the backfield gets sorted out.
Stacy could just easily put himself back on the radar with a strong performance, but this is a hands-off situation for the time being. About the only player with an established role is Cunningham, who is locked in on passing downs and worth rostering in PPR leagues.
